Personality

A cheery smiling type, not much appears to phase Seungi. He is a raging optimist, going out of his way to find amusement or joy in simple things, and thrives on travelling to new places and trying new things. While not the "best" or "ace" pilot on a ship, he is capable and gets the job done with few errors, though only so long as it can keep his attention. Because of this, his captains often have him participate in high-stress situations, as mundane tasks often result in Seungi's immediate boredom and inability to focus on what may be required.

Seungi has an intense love for hover-racing. He is a skilled driver and a self-confessed speed demon. Applying the skills acquired by racing hovercrafts to his Starfleet career brings him great pleasure, but he is often regulated to piloting shuttles or land vehicles.

History

Born January 30, 2368 and raised on the move, Seungi is a Starfleet brat. His parents were NCO blue-shirts during the 2360s, but separated in 2384.

Following in his parents' footsteps felt like an inevitability, and in 2389 he is granted a traineeship as a non-commissioned officer, shortly earning the rank of Crewman Second Class operating as a technician in the ship's science department. But, still uncertain about what he wanted to do, Seungi took a leave from Starfleet. He took on a Bachelor of Technology in 2391, and after successful completion was offered the rank of Ensign upon his return to Starfleet. He spends his career aboard the USS Paladin.

2398

Transferred from the Paladin to Copernicus Station, Seungi has a stop-over at Star Station Esperance when the Paladin unexpectedly detours to Cait. He is asked to pilot the skeleton-crewed USS Veritas (under the temporary command of Wil Ukinix) to Walhalla Lock upon reports of a traffic build-up of ships while he waits for his transport to arrive. He participates in rescuing Veritas and other civilian ships caught in a temporal loop, and safely return to Star Station Esperance.

Due to the detour to the Walhalla Lock, Seungi misses his transport to Copernicus Station. Under the authority of Kinan Venroe, he remains aboard Veritas and serves as a temporary helm officer, piloting to Antor II. He serves as a temporary helm officer for Veritas as it travels to Antor II. He earns the ire of ship XO Sky Blake with a sarcastic remark.

While piloting the USS Independence-B, Seungi becomes distracted and accidentally pilots the ship into an entirely avoidable object, damaging the Independence's deflector array. He fails to arrive in time to fix and re-align the relay, and is caught by Tristam Core participating in a race against Amity Outpost's Terrellian representative, Cassa.

On stardate 239811.09, Seungi is transferred to the USS Constitution-B.

Relationships

His father, Kim Yeong-ho, and mother, Kyo Ae, separated when Seungi was sixteen years old. Seungi recalls bouncing between his mother and father's quarters every fortnight. His parents, while amicable between themselves, often disagree and bicker about what they considered 'best' for him. For many years, this powered an indecisive quality in Seungi.
