Chronological History

Born and raised in the north of England Kryn spent most of his formative years living and being raised by his grandmother. His parents spent large amounts of time away with the fleet due to their roles. This has meant that Kryn has developed more into his grandmother's ways than that of his parents. He was and still is immensely proud of his parents' roles within Starfleet and could very easily have gone into either of their fields. His schooling and grades would certainly support that. Kryn lost his grandmother when he was 11, leaving a deep hole in his life. She was the last remaining grandparent with all others passing away before his birth. In order for him to not be left alone, his mother had to take some leave from her role. Although she tried her best to hide it Kryn believes that a small part of her resented him for that.

Kryn was always intending on entering officer training at Starfleet but could not quite decide between Engineering like his father, Medical like his mother or Counselling which he himself had an interest in. But, a serious incident in his later teenage years helped him make the switch to Security. A move that he made, according to his Academy counsellors, to help prevent any accident from ever happening again. Kryn still occasionally has problems with trying to control too much.
