Background
Kral is from a small city in the Adeba region of Tellar Prime. He was born in a litter of six children, two sisters and three other brothers in the litter. He comes from a long line of civil engineers, the majority of his family having never Tellar Prime before. Kral's father designs and oversees construction of electrical grids in the province in which Kral was born, that is where perhaps he got his interest in electro-plasma systems. Kral spent a few years of his adult life shadowing his father and learning how power distribution works and how to be an engineer, but hardly anyone enjoys working for their father. Much to his father's disagreement, however, Kral chose to be the first in the family to leave Tellar Prime in many years and join Starfleet and that caused some division between him and the rest of his family. In any sense, Kral does not regret leaving, in fact he is looking forward to finishing his time in the Academy and earning his commission to serve aboard a starship. His ultimate goal is to become a Chief Engineer one day.
Kral is often times your typical Tellarite, he will often argue for no particular reason. He may insult you, he may say some thing that aren't pretty. But, in the few years since that he has been in the Academy, he has learned to suppress his instinct and not lead with insults, he may even be friendly until he actually gets to know someone, then the arguing comes back.
While at the Academy, Kral has undertaken a major in Warp Theory; with interest in Advances Warp Systems, Bio-Neural Components, Shield Systems, Impulse Systems, Sustainable Energy, System Design, Systems Architecture and Operations and Command Functions. He has minored in Operations, with interests in Deflectors, Weapons and Security Systems as well as Introduction to Starship Combat.
