History

Almost certainly an ancient lost colony, but different enough to be distinct from their better-known brethern, the Kotakians were once part of the Lenarian race.

Description

With dark skin and wide-spaced, black eyes, the Kotakians sport a tall, thin ridge that starts at their chin and runs up over the top of their head, to end at the base of their skull. This ridge is tallest on the top of their head, being on average between 3 to 7 inches. They are related to the Lenarian species, sharing various similarities between the two species. However, the Kotakians grow hair, ranging from violet to blue in colour.

Society

Small in number, most Kotakians serve in mining, cargo transport or passenger service.

Starfleet Intelligence Files

In 2370, Gul Dukat traveled aboard a Kotakian starship as an unregistered passenger in order to investigate the destruction of the Cardassian freighter, Bok'Nor.
