Appearance
Short in stature with an athletic build. A long, diamond shaped face tapers into a gently rounded chin. Her almond eyes are an exceptionally deep ebony and framed with thick, similarly coloured eyelashes. Full lips tend to tilt upward at the corner, keeping a relaxed, pleasant expression. Long fingers taper into neatly kept and trimmed fingernails and she moves with a quiet sort of grace.
Personality
Kherys has been described by others as 'demure'. Usually gentle and softspoken, she exudes an air of calmness that serves her well with patients. Some have said she has the patience of a saint, though she might deny such an accusation. While she'll participate in large events geared toward the officers or residents on the base, she prefers more intimate interactions with people. She holds life as sacred, and puts her all into helping others - that is what she is called to do. That is why she is a doctor. Somewhat shy, she's not known for opening up to others quickly or easily, but once she has made a friend, she is dedicated and loyal.
History
History
Born on Earth to a human telepathic father and Betazoid mother as one of a set of identical twins, Kherys spent a happy childhood on her family's ranch in Texas. From the time she was little, she helped her father on the ranch and would adamantly proclaim she wanted to be a 'vet'naran' when she was grown up. As time went on, Kherys realised that, as much as she loved animals, she wanted to help people more.
Growing up, her mother told her stories about Betazoid and her travels. Although her mother never seemed to indicate regret in the decision to settle down with one man on a planet in a situation very different from what she'd grown up with, Kherys couldn't help but wonder if her mother sometimes wished she had remained on Betazed, or if she ever wanted to travel through the stars again. Regardless, space fascinated her as well as her twin sister, Arlys. Their first experience with another alien was a Trill, an old friend of her mother's, who had come to visit. As she got older, that fascination continued to grow along with her desire to help others. When both girls were considering their future, a friend suggested Starfleet as a way to accomplish their goals. Both Kherys and Arlys applied for Academy and were accepted, though Arlys graduated as an engineer a couple of years earlier due to Kherys' desire to remain on the medical track.
Intelligent and dedicated, Kherys has worked diligently and with a single minded purpose toward her goal of becoming a doctor. Holidays and breaks took a back seat as she engaged in extra classes in order to graduate sooner rather than later. She found herself in her last two years as a medical cadet assigned to the Starbase 118 Sickbay. Finally, on 239812.11, Kherys graduated and was tapped by Commodore Taybrim himself to serve as a Medical Officer on Starbase 118 Ops. She served there for a little over a year and a half before she was then transferred o Denali Station.

John Harper, Rancher Kherys' father, a rare telepathic human, owns and runs a Ranch a couple of hours from Fort Worth, Texas. It's been in his family for generations. As a boy, he worked along side his family, and inherited it after his father's death.
Riaye Harper, Wife and Mother Kherys' mother was born on Betazed and met her husband on a trip to Earth. After going with some friends for a 'legitimate, real ranch experience', she found herself drawn to the quiet strength of the owner's son. After two weeks, she found herself unable to leave - and the two were married three months later.
Arlys Harper, Engineer Kherys' twin sister. The two entered Starfleet at the same time, though Arlys graduated earlier due to her sister pursuing her medical studies.
