The Kavolians were first encountered on stardate 23960, during the Battle of New Year's Day. The USS Columbia while in orbit of Dehner Base was attacked by the Eildyr, a mercenary ship captained by a Losarian named Tarius Kaironn. Kavolians were members of the crew. Physiology
Little is known about the physiology of the Kavolians. They have an orange-hued skin tone and appear more or less human except for a higher placed eyebrow line further up on the forehead.

Government
The Kavolians appear to be allied with the Losarian people. Members of this species and the Sopressians were seen among the crew of the Losarian mercenary ship Eildyr. However, political relations between the two races and the official Losarian government are unclear.
