Backstory/Timeline
Justin Cook was found in an abandoned crate on the civilian freighter Ship Caldara. The crate registry had birth documentation, but no delivery instructions . Captain Nomox discovered this, curiosity had him open the package and find a human boy inside. Though slightly malnourished, the boy was no worse for wear. Captain Nomox was immediately taken by the boy and decided to keep him. Nomox took great pleasure in teaching young JC the ways of life in space.. JC took to life on the ship and soon found he was adapt in maintaining and adapting the ships systems. When Nomox decided he was old enough, he began learning the flight controls of the ship and by age 15 he was the principal navigator for the Caldara. Nomox, took care to show off his prize pupil to his 17 wives and massive expanded family, as a result JC maintains close contact with his adopted family. As Nomox neared the end of his life he left the ship to a distant relative, and having no use for the ship promptly sold it. Finding himself with nowhere left to go he joined a few smaller outfits, mostly smugglers until he wound up in the Sol system. After a night of heavy drinking, his was enticed to join StarFleet.
