Backstory
Ensign Jhen Thelev is a dedicated, loyal Security officer assigned to protect Deep Space 17 in an alternate dimension.
In 2384, Ensign Thelev was working for Station Commander Danny Wilde as a security officer where he kept a watchful eye on the schemes of the Alternate Jack Kolk. He was instrumental in helping Jack escape the station's brig in order to gain his trust and find out more about his intentions but was unable to prevent Jack from escaping to a parallel dimension.
During the final battle for DS17, Jhen was promoted to Chief of Security where he fought hand to hand against Gorn boarding parties giving time for Commander Wilde to destroy the station and escape, wiping out most of the Gorn invaders but also all the Starfleet crew remaining onboard. Ensign Thelev barely escaped in time and his face bears the scars of the encounter, one eye ruined by a Gorn weapon and the skin hideously burned as he fled the exploding space station.
2385
In 2385, Ensign Thelev succeeded in travelling to this dimension with the aid of the Alternate Jack Kolk. Jack was persuaded to delegate the task of killing Danny after Jhen convinced him he wanted revenge for the destruction of DS17. However, Ensign Thelev remained loyal to his former Commander and sabotaged Jack's escape shuttle before helping Danny sacrifice himself to save Captain Mar who had been poisoned by Evil Jack. In order to save the Commander from an agonising death, Jhen detonated his phaser rifle killing them both.
