- Height: 5’6”
- Hair: Dark Brown
- Eyes: Brown
- Gender: Female
- Father: Simon De’Vere – A British-born pharmaceutical engineer, while acting independent of Starfleet Medical his work has been instrumental in some progressive disease treatments and he has been Jesse’s inspiration to pursue a career in medicine. He never pressured her to follow in his footsteps, but he has been a source of gentle guidance through her adult life.
- Mother: Jada De’Vere – A Jamaican-born director of human resources at the same research institute who met her husband Simon working as a lab assistant some years ago. They still work closely together, and while apprehensive about Starfleet as an entity purely due to its somewhat militaristic nature, she does wish her daughter every success.
- Siblings: Mark De’Vere – Jesse’s brother, known for his sporting ambition rather than medical, he’s doing well as a player for a minor league soccer team in London. They have a good relationship and stay in regular contact, he’s a couple years her senior and she looks up to him for advice.
- Spouse: None
- Children: None
Born 2372: Queens Hospital, Romford, Greater London.
Primary Schooling Comments: Achieved excellent marks in STEM subjects, however was lacking in physical education. Was caught several times sneaking away during these lessons with two friends, caught when trying to use a transporter without permission. Jesse was capable of being an excellent student, if the subject interested her. Biology and Science predominantly.
Higher Education: Enrolled in Kings College after achieving excellent grade marks in Biology, initially finishing several modules on pharmaceutical technology in line with the family business. However, while it was understandably important, Jesse wanted to be on the front line of medicine, pushing herself into a clinical diagnostic and general medical role. She did however, become known as a bit of a party animal. Occasional heavy nights followed by desperate cramming of revision.
Graduate Education: After receiving her first degree in Medicine and a second in Applied Biological Science with focus on diagnostic process, she moved onto a Masters on and finally a Doctorate, serving as a Junior Doctor in a busy accident and emergency department for a number of years as part of the process. Her final dissertation was on the theory of using targeted narrow-beam transporter technology to distribute drugs more effectively.
Starfleet Career: Her decision to join Starfleet was a mix of a want to do good on a grander scale, and understanding that time was ticking on making it a dedicated career path. Understandably she was easily selected for service in the Starfleet Medical Academy. She gravitated naturally towards Pharmacology, with a heavy interest in drug interactions in non-human species. Her aspirations like most are to achieve a CMO role within a station or ship, and fundamentally do good in the Galaxy at large. Textbook and maybe a little cliché, but she truly believes it. Most importantly, she won't lose her sense of fun.
