Personal History

Jalana was born into the family of a Diplomat and a Botanist, who always wanted the best for their child. As many other times, when having good intentions, they do not work out as well as thought. Knowing that his position would bring prestige and a good life, Vivan Laxyn started early to do everything that Jalana would one day follow his footsteps. So the girl visited schools that were specialised in diplomacy, linguistics, Xeno-Psychology and other subjects helping the goal. But Jalana was never really interested in this field of expertise. Already early she wanted to help people in a different way.

It took her quite a bit to finally 'come out' to her parents, letting them know that she wanted to become a Doctor. In contrast to her mother, her father did not like this at all and tried to stop her with his influence, but Jalana stood up against him and followed her dream. After graduation from school and passing the tests of Medical school she enrolled. She knew during her training that she wanted to do more and applied for Star Fleet Academy.

She had to do the tests for Academy two times and just a week before she graduated from Medical School she got the message that she was accepted. As soon as she had her graduation letter in her hand she left Trill joining Star Fleet.

While Jalana was at Academy she never did regret that step and enjoyed her training, even though it was harder than she expected. During her fifth year she was surprised by a message from the Symbiosis commission of Trill that she was also accepted for taking tests to become an initiate. Finding out that her parents had send her application she first ignored it but then became curious if she could do it. Surprisingly she passed the tests but did not hear anything from the Commission after that. First she told herself, that they had a lot of applicants so it would take a while, but after some time she forgot about it and went on with her StarFleet Medical Training.

In the year 2389 she finally finished the Academy, and was stationed on the USS Apollo, with the plan in mind to graduate and further study on a Star Ship to achieve the official Doctor Title one day.

Missions aboard the Apollo Mission Summary "Slither, Slither in the Night" The USS Apollo makes its way to the Typhon Expanse to find the mission ships. One of them is the USS Nelson, that can be found but in a bad condition, heavily damaged, with no power, and the majority of the escape pods gone. But not enough that the crew is not there anymore, the Typhon Expanse also has impact on the Crew, giving them headaches, visions, halluzinations in different forms, emotional overload and other symptoms, up to madness. Parts of the Nelson crew are found in Escape Pods floating adrift in the Expanse. It is Jalana's first day of duty when hell breaks loose and the survivors are brought to Sick Bay and the Mess Hall, filling up beds and room. Some of them unconscious, others near mental collapse, madness, panic attacks or the tamer cases headaches, hearing music or being slightly paranoid. Only one person does not seem to be affected or only slightly, LtJG Jason Gondor, who is a great help to the crew in figuring out what is going on. While Jalana accompanied Gondor around the ship to be able to talk with the bridge crew, trying to fight off an Energy Creature that seemed to drain the ship's system, Sidney Pierce works on a cure for the patients of the Nelson and the Apollo, which ends up working quite well. Also the Energy creature is being rid off and slowly things aboard return back to normal. "Vantage Point (Summer Blockbuster)" Tensions between the Klingons and the Federation become worse and Rumor has it that the Klingons prepare to invade Romulan space. The USS Apollo gets the order to rendezvous with the USS Mercury and escort them across Federation space. The Mercury has Councilor Prianna, a high level diplomat from the Detapa Council of Cardassia Prime, as passenger, who seems to be in the crossfire for an assassination attack. The Apollo gets help from the Cardassian Agent Tala Rovor to prevent this attack. They find out who is behind the plan and with the help of the Mercury's Intel Officer, Isaac Bale the attack can be stopped, but the assassin, a Cardassian named Dreth flees.

Personal Relationships Name Status Description Viktor Lanius Dating Viktor and Jalana got off a good start when she came aboard and he accompanied her while she observed a member of the USS Nelson Crew, after the Apollo rescued their survivors. They spent some more time together during a R&R evening in an old fashioned Casino on the Holodeck, a Program belonging to Ra-Uleyra. Viktor was willing to teach her Poker and she had enjoyed the time at his side. But it was not until another R&R evening on the Holodeck they spent on a beach of Shinraka that he asked her out on a date the next day. During this date, he had planned as a big surprise for her, they spent much time talking and visited the holoversion of his Earth home, where he finally confessed that he liked her and she returned these feelings. She is curious where this leads to, though the thought of dating him makes her rather happy.
