Because of its cubiod expanse, the Ithassa Region covers a vast area toward the outer edge of the galaxy which encompasses both the Alpha and Beta Quadrants near the meridian. It is estimated to be 1000ly X 500ly X 30ly in size. Since the Taskforce Discovery launch, three years of exploration hasn't even scratched the surface of the Ithassa or its many inhabitants. 1000 days to cross, or 2 years and a little over nine months, systems and local governments are far and few between.

The Federation, the Klingon Empire, the Gorn Hegemony and the Tholian Assembly establish the closer boundaries, as the outer most regions have not yet been explored. Theoretically, the Ithassa Region may be much larger than originally theorized. But until relations with the Gorn improve (who have a more extensive knowledge to what they call the Chavess Expanse), Starfleet's knowledge of the area is still extremely limited.

Federation controled Sectors

  • Cait Sector There are 12 star systems within this sector. It is located at (coordinates A02-0003-1306) and is right next to the Tholian Assembly border.
    • Cait system is the home system of the Caitian, a member race of the Federation.
  • Eratis Sector There are 11 star systems within this sector. It is located at (coordinates A02-0001-1307) and is just north of the Bull's Run Sector and is the home to Deep Space 17.

No Man's Land controled Sectors

This area in the Ithassa Region is between those sectors that are Federation controled and the Confederacy of Core Worlds. It is called No Man's Land due to two factors. First is the very low number of systems in each sector and secondly due to the large amount of abnormal stellar phenomenae that seems to occupy this area.

It covers an area of 21 sectors and is approximately 7 sectors wide and runs from coordinates A0*-0004-1308 to B0*-0003-1308. It ends at the Klingon border in the Beta Quadrant and the Tholian border in the Alpha Quadrant.

Sectors

  • Aronis Sector
    • A sector of magnetic shoals and high radiation, mapped by the USS Kodiak, where a colony of Klingons cut off from the Empire was found.
  • Cor'ag Sector There are 11 star systems within this sector. It is located at (coordinates B02-0004-1312) and is right below the Gorn Hegemony border. It is located below the Ga'ter Sector and above the Krinji Sector.
  • Dahri Sector There are 9 star systems within this sector. It is located at (coordinates B01-0001-1311) is located above the Devinon Sector.
  • Devinon Sector. There are 12 star systems within this sector. It is located at (coordinates B02-0001-1311) is located below the Dahri Sector and above the Rumaiy Sector.

  • Ga'ter Sector There are 9 star systems in this sector. It is located at (coordinates B01-0004-1312) and is right below the Gorn Hegemony border and is above the Cor'ag Sector.
    • Ga'ter system is the home system of the Ga'teran. The 2nd planet Ga'ter is their homeworld and they are a part of the Free Trade Union.
    • Jeuws system was the first system defeated and taken over by the Ga'teran military. The Jeuws now live on as a slave race. They are 3 light years from the Ga'ter system.
  • Oliad Sector. There are 10 star systems within this sector. It is located at (coordinates A02-0002-1310) and is located below the Privis Sector and above the Grinic Sector.
  • Ratilius Sector. There are 13 star systems within this sector. It is located at (coordinates A02-0003-1311) and is located below the Tyrinar Sector and above the Astrivis Sector.
  • Rumaiy Sector There are 8 star systems in this sector. It is located at (coordinates B03-0001-1311) is located below the Devinon Sector.

  • Vonda Sector. There are 14 star systems within this sector. It is located at (coordinates A02-0005-1308) and is right next to the Tholian Assembly border. The Vonda Dictatorship controls all of them. It is located below the Banth Sector and above the Gor'Dith Sector.
    • Vonda system is the home sector of the Vonda. These humanoids are very muscular with bald heads and midnight black skin. They are a sadistic and cruel race who laugh at the misery they cause. They also tend to eat anyone who displeases them.

Systems

The various systems logged encompass a wide range. They are noted here below (although this should not be considered comprehensive):

  • 3A9
    • - A system with a M class world populated by a Tzenkethi research facility.
  • 7AE38 system
    • - A semi isolated region of space, dominated by a dense asteroid field. The system is home to a single M-Class planet whose inhabitants were thought to be at an industrial age of development. Around stardate 238407.10 the system was chosen by the USS Ronin as a testing area for three prototype fighters. During the tests it was discovered that the natives to the planet, the Sya-Negan, had developed warp technology.
  • Enthri system
    • The system is home to three rock planets and two gas giants.
  • Iliahu system
    • - has twelve planets, three of them class M, Illiahu IV has a pre-warp civilization, and is the only planet in the system known to be inhabited.
  • Transi system
    • has no planets
