On an [[Intrepid class]] ship, the '''mess hall''' is located on Deck 2 at the front of the ship. Access is available from either side using a set of sliding double doors inset with windows on each.


The mess hall is a communal dining area aboard a starship. While there are numerous crew lounges, capable of providing a recreational distraction for a handful of personnel at a time, there is only one mess hall. The mess halls on ''[[ma:Intrepid class|Intrepid]]'' Class vessels are located on Deck 2, section 13, and feature several large forward-looking windows. Although food service in most mess halls is provided solely by several food replicator terminals, some crews opt for installing a makeshift kitchen, where they can use plants grown in the airponics bay or foraged on planets to design their own culinary dishes to supplement replicator use.
The area features four replicator stations, various size tables allow parties to dine together, and a lounge area.  
 
The space is generally utilized by officers only, with a private dining room for the captain. It can also be used as a central gathering space for special events like diplomatic receptions and crew celebrations.

On an Intrepid class ship, the mess hall is located on Deck 2 at the front of the ship. Access is available from either side using a set of sliding double doors inset with windows on each.

The area features four replicator stations, various size tables allow parties to dine together, and a lounge area.

The space is generally utilized by officers only, with a private dining room for the captain. It can also be used as a central gathering space for special events like diplomatic receptions and crew celebrations.
