United Federation of Planets Guide to Intelligent Lifeforms

The Intelligent Lifeform Index (ILI) is UFOP's central database of Intelligent Aliens which can be used for role playing in our organization. This ILI is still in its infancy, so we need help to refine and complete it. This area of the wiki is used to update and create database entries.

Creating Database Entries

If you find that we're missing a species, you are more than welcome to compile an entry to be used in the ILI.

First, be sure that you have all the necessary information. The list below shows the information we need to start an entry:

  • Species complete name
  • Relation to the Federation (Member, Allied, Netural, At War, Noncommunicative, Unknown, Other)
  • Planet of Origin
  • Encounter log
    • Here, you would include IC, and OOC information. IC, you'd give the first time that we saw the species onscreen, and what the situation was. OOC, you'd give the episode name and series (i.e.- TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT).
  • Current Tech Level
  • Description
    • Include any and all information that is pertinent and useful.
  • Picture (if you have one).

Now that you have this information, you can post it on the Wiki. The first step is to edit the "Species Being Edited" list near the bottom of the page to include the name of the species you have information on. (Be sure to, of course, link to the page with that species' information.) Then, save the edit and go to that page. Insert all of the information you have on the species. Now it will be available for others to help you refine and edit that profile. Once it is complete, a staff member will move the information to the official ILI.
