Functions
- -Tiered seating allows spectators could watch surgeons perform surgery. Doctors, teaching those entering the surgical field, find it an envaluable teaching tool that will accommodate more spectators than allowable in the actual operating room.
- -The Operating Theater is a fully functional operating room for the Independence surgical staff as well.
- -When surgery is being performed on prisoners, extra security guards often use the gallery for backup to the guards on duty in the operating room.
