Background
Hunters parents died during the battle wolf 359, before the ship was destroyed Dylan and Nisa were evacuated from the ship with members of the crew, but not before being trapped seriously wounded, he was sent to starfleet medical, the doctors found that battle had damaged his eyes and damaged his nervous system, as irony has it the doctors manged to use state of the art bio tech inspired by Borg technology to help heal him, his eyes were implanted with optical implants and bio implants on various places on his body to help his nervous system.
Dylan and his sister where sent to live with their grandfather on Starbase 23 where he brought them both up in the values of the federation and starfleet, Nisa went off and joined starfleet as soon as she was older enough, Dylan joined as soon as he was ready to. To follow on in his parents and grandfathers footsteps.
