StarBase 118 Member Resources Guidelines for Guest Simming The following are guidelines for simming on ships or stations other than your own for a limited period. These guidelines are meant to help simmers plan for guest-simming periods, but always check with your CO if you're interested in guest simming on another ship or station so that you can determine what works best for your specific context. Suggested Guidelines Rank/Length of Simming: At least six months of continuous simming, regardless of rank, with CO's approval. Guesting duration: A full shore leave period, two acts on ships that use an act structure, and/or six weeks. Maximum per year: Once per ship/station per year. That is, you could guest-sim multiple times per year, but only once on a particular ship or station. Who can I sim as?: Some folks bring their PC over, some create a specific MSNPC with the ship CO/staff where they're guesting, some bring over another NPC. Be sure to clarify what your plans are as you prepare to guest-sim.
