Background

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on Earth. He's the strong, silent type who enjoys work more than play. He initially didn't think he'd like to make a career out of Starfleet, but decided to enlist instead. One day, he may want to go after that final pip. In the meantime, he wants to obtain an MD. There weren't enough doctors on DSX to further his education, so it was recommended by Nia Calderan to transfer to the Garuda.

Relationships

Chythar Skyfire
Superior Officer & Friend

He met Mr. Fergus during the quarantine crisis on DSX. Fergus watched helplessly as Chythar undertook a risky experiment to save the Cardassians from a modified version of the Skyfire Virus. Fergus was attempting to get his MD through Dr. Skyfire aboard the Garuda. Sadly, he found out later that Chythar did not have the certifications necessary to instruct.

Devlin
Skyfire's Therapy Dog

Greywin met him aboard DSX. The puppy was adopted from a teacher en route to Andoria from DSX, and gifted to Chythar as a therapy dog. Whilst he served with Dr. Skyfire, Rick would occasionally be asked to dog-sit until Chythar returned from missions.

Ryan King
Friend

Greywin met him during the aftermath of the Little Ship of Horrors mission. The ensign apparently had respiratory problems and came to sickbay just as Chythar was on his way out the door for a house call, so Greywin stepped in to treat him.

Dassa Alexander
Mentor & Friend

Initially met aboard the USS Gorkon while he was supposed to be studying medicine under Dr. Skyfire. This did not come to fruition because CD wasn't actually a certified instructor. However, during an unlikely conversation with Dassa in the aftermath of an explosion aboard the Gorkon, he expresses his interest to learn and enrolls in the distance learning program under her instruction.
