Background

Genevieve DeTroyes is from the French colonial world, Scylanthia. She grew up there, on the light gravity planet (.7G's) and studied psychology. Later on, she became a genetics research scientist. On a trip to earth, she met a Deltan man and entered into a relationship with him. Since intimate contact with non-Deltans is outlawed because of the mental damage it causes to other species, their relationship was held in secret. It is rumored that Genevieve had developed a formula which cured the insanity caused by relationships with Deltans. The formula, if it ever existed, has never been found.

NOTES

All of the inhabitants of Bijon Bleu were infected by a retrovirus, which manifested over a hundred years later with the introduction of a second biological component, which was introduced by an orbital drone. All of the inhabitants died within 24 hours from the plague. Although Geneveive DeTroyes was blamed for the introduction of the retrovirus, the second component could not have been caused by her, since it occurred so many years after her death. It was determined to be an accident.
