Gav is a Ba'ku poet, musician and journeyman, currently a bartender at the crew pub aboard the USS Drake.

 ==Backstory/Timeline==
-Gav was born on the Ba'ku planet in the Briar Patch in 2186, one of only some 600 of his species.  Like all Ba'ku, he lived a simple life in relative avoidance of modern technology.  In his village, he served primarily as a carpenter.  He first encountered the Federation, and indeed any alien species, in 2375, during the incident with the Son'a.  He left the Ba'ku planet in 2380, with the intention of broadening his horizons and exploring.  He worked his way across several Federation starbases, and ultimately to Earth, where he worked in the hospitality industry for several years.  In 2389, he was working in an Irish-themed bar on Alpha Centauri when he signed on to manage a crew recreation establishment aboard the starship USS ''Drake''.
