Early life, born to loving unjoined parents who never went for the symbiont course Ferier was pushed into learning the Trill piano by his mum and dad who were both expert piano players gaining a small amount of fame on Trill. Although Ferier was nowhere near the level of his parents he is competent at the piano. His childhood friend died while they were playing among some caves, this deeply affected Ferier who took this loss as an unjoined Trill a waste of life and loss of experiences gained this drove Ferier to enrol on the symbiont training and was found to have a natural aptitude and psychological profile passing the training with flying colours. Developing an interest in xenobiology as well as communications as well as piloting. Ferieralso discovered an interest in holodeck technology having no holograph facilities on Trill he read up as much as possible although he has very little knowledge on how and why holograms work the interest remains.

learning a little about the bat'leth from a Klingon roommate Ferier is by no means great at it but can usually get away without cutting himself too badly, This however developed a taste for martial arts and studied the Vulcan version again not by any means an expert but capable of defending himself and also uses Vulcan meditation techniques.

After realizing that the wait to become a host was a long slow process Ferier joined Starfleet to pass the time while waiting to become a host. Ferier found he wasn't as committed to this and found the studies boring and never put as much effort into them as he could. An discussion with the exobiologist in his third year ignited an interest in exploration and helped him raise his below average gradings. Now he intends to pursue a career with Starfleet not only while waiting for a symbiont but after being joined. He did pass middle of the class and graduated and was posted initially to Star Base 118 to complete his training. Ferier hopes to have a symbiont as soon as possible but realizes it will take time.
