The Chief's Mess is a mess hall reserved for Chief Petty Officers. Lower ranked enlisted and officer's are forbidden without permission and escort by a Chief. The Chief's Mess is a place of legend on ships going back to naval traditions on Earth. It is often decorated with mementos collected during the many years of collective experience of the Chief's of a ship. What's said in the Chief's Mess, stays in the Chief's Mess.
