Personal History
Sastia was born of Starfleet parents and her father, William, taught at the academy. Sastia wasn't all that interested in Starfleet and went on a different path than what her parents had planed for her. But, she remained unsatisfied in life and unsatisfied with Earth. That was when she decided to try out Starfleet, even if it only got her off the planet every once in a while.
She was 29 when she took the entrance exam to the academy and she passed quite easily. However, the academy was a whole new world for her, and some of it was a little hard to absorb. She loved the studies and immersed herself in them. What she didn't love was that she was older than most of the cadets and it took her over two years to make friends that weren't put off by the age difference.
She graduated the academy with honors and looks forward to serving on a vessel.
