When Evelyn was young, she was always found of exploring the cosmos. So, she made herself a promise that when she got old enough, she would enlist into Starfleet. As time grew older, she wanted to focus on her studies. After she completed her education in Geneva, she moved to Los Angeles to attend the prestigious University of California, Los Angles, to get a degree in Aerospace Engineering.
After completing her degree, she joined Starfleet. This is where she met her future boyfriend Scotty Reade, while they were both taking a engineering class. After graduation though, Scotty gave her the news that he was transferring to the Delta Quadrant, to be assigned to the new station Amity Outpost. She decided to give this long-distance relationship a try. After a few years of chatting via video, she got her chance to move closer to him.
The [[[USS Kitty Hawk]], was about to begin a 5-year mission within the Delta Quadrant, so she decided to put in a transfer request to Starfleet Command. After hearing her request had been approved, she surprised Scotty on Amity with the news.
