As you approach the door at the end of the corridor on the upper level, you notice in large, golden engraved lettering "Historian/Archeologist Specialist's Office/Archives". You press the door chime and the door with the title swooshes ajar to reveal a rather large room, the walls made up of mostly bookcases and one, large ceiling-to-floor viewing window that gives a rather pictureque view of the city and landscape, as well as the compound itself.

The desk of the historian is in the center of this room and down two steps. The desk is situated so that one can see who comes in. It is cluttered with journals, papers and volumes of recent archives studied. Backed up to this same desk, but on the other side, was a large computer, terminal and communications area. This is where the historian would take her calls.

Just to one side of this sunken in desk area is a winding staircase that leads to the main foyer below. At the bottom of the black metalic winding stair is a small coat room and a door that leads out to the main foyer. In this small coat room is a table with a locked drawer. Only the Historian and the Ambassador have a key each.

In the office above the coatroom a starchart enhancer is also incorporated into the Historian's computer and would display any star system that was archived in the databanks. The Historiain also uses this as a screen saver and the star systems flash above the desk in a blue florescent light. In the dark, this is quite a sight. To this stardate, it is the most accurate star chart in Star Fleet. There are other electronics hidden behind certain volumes of certain races in the room but only the Historian knows of them. There is also a secret compartment, known only to the Historian that houses a comfortable couch, refrigerator and a small table, but no one knows of this area but the Historian and the Ambassador.

Usually this room is askue with papers on the floor and journals littered all over but the Historian knows where eveyrthing is... usually.
