Backstory
He was born on Earth in the United Kingdom, Bristol, as the first child of Freighter Captain Dekett and freelance Translator/Language interpreter Lwessoso of the Sixth House of Betazed. As a child his parents were always taking him to different worlds when work called them from Earth, as a result he has grown up experiencing a wide range of different cultures and lifestyles. When he was fifteen, his parents' work took them to Vulcan where he became fascinated by their culture and language, continuing to learn it even when his parents moved on. When he was nineteen, he returned to Vulcan to begin studying Suus Mahna and focus on expanding his very limited telepathic powers. He became friends with his roommate, a young Vulcan man named Liton. After three years on Vulcan he began to feel discontent with his life and decided to spend his time helping others, as he had no medical training he decided that security would be where he'd excel. He returned to Earth and five years later graduated fifth highest in his class at Starfleet Academy, he hopes that if he works hard enough he'll be able to rise to the position of Commander. He remains in regular contact with his family, especially his little sister, and Liton.
Personality
Deckett's family has always described him as a reckless clown, always ready to start a brawl in defence of another, but also acknowledge his caring nature and strong moral compass. He is a usually adventurous and jovial person but can be serious and cold when needed. Is a very affectionate person and enjoys a good hug.
