Turns out they'd been hit and boarded, but the liner's Captain was happy enough for us to help out.  Probably just relieved anyone had turned up, even if it was Starfleet.  Assanti cooked up some story about fugitive criminals to cover our interest in the scientists we were there to collect, and we managed to track down a pair of them whilst Fanel and Baker went to try and sort thigns out in Engineering.

At this point, more Warbirds show up, with the Praetor herself in command.  Bad guy ship runs away, and teh Captain manages to defuse things a bit by inviting the Romulans to dinner.  Not a tactic I'd have thought of, but she's in charge for a reason.

Now we get to the heart of the matter.  Janus and the others have info on a system able to cloak an entire planet.  Yes, that's right, a whole planet.  I don't want to think about the amount of power that would take...

It became pretty clear we'd have to do something to warn these people about the danger they might well be in, so it is decided that we'll pay 'em a visit.  Did I mention the Darians are almost xenophobic when it comes to their privacy?  Yeah, this'll be easy...

Speaking of easy.  Keeping things straight in my head got really difficult for a while.  Ended up having to use one of those little fail-sfae thingies my therapists drilled into my subconscious.  It's helped, but I hope I don't need to do it again any time soon...

Anyway, I gotta get ready for this party.  Not a problem, except I can't remember where I put my dress uniform.

So much for staying off duty for a day.

We found the Liner we were after, and the Captain wanted me on the Away Mission to it. Cue argument with Jarak. I won, by the way.

So, a bunch of us beam over to the liner, only to find out that things are a bit of a mess. Given the signs of damage on the outside, it shouldn't have surprised me, but hey - I never claimed to be very good with this kind of thing.

Turns out they'd been hit and boarded, but the liner's Captain was happy enough for us to help out. Probably just relieved anyone had turned up, even if it was Starfleet. Assanti cooked up some story about fugitive criminals to cover our interest in the scientists we were there to collect, and we managed to track down a pair of them whilst Fanel and Baker went to try and sort things out in Engineering.

Later on I heard they managed to get into a bit of a fight with the people who had boarded the liner, but they dealt with that okay. The other scientists managed to steal one of the liner's shuttles and get away, only to get caught up in a game of tractor beam tag between the Indria and a Romulan Warbird. Seems that was the ship that attacked the liner, and they were probably after the scientists as well.

Anyway, we got the scientists on the liner back to the Indria, where I was given the job of keeping them comfy for a bit. Luckily, the others from the shuttle were retrieved and brought in before I yelled at the head scientist too much. What can I say, he was annoying me.

Debriefing begins, and all is good. Except that apparently one of the people we rescued isn't a scientist at all, but a Tal Shiar agent, who claims to have been sent to help them. Not sure what to make of that...

At this point, more Warbirds show up, with the Praetor herself in command. Bad guy ship runs away, and the Captain manages to defuse things a bit by inviting the Romulans to dinner. Not a tactic I'd have thought of, but she's in charge for a reason.

Now we get to the heart of the matter. Janus and the others have info on a system able to cloak an entire planet. Yes, that's right, a whole planet. I don't want to think about the amount of power that would take...

That done, we start getting the whole story laid out for us. Seems that there is a whole civilization who are hiding out using that cloak, and that there are Romulans who'd be happy to do just about anything to get hold of that tech.

It became pretty clear we'd have to do something to warn these people about the danger they might well be in, so it is decided that we'll pay 'em a visit. Did I mention the Darians are almost xenophobic when it comes to their privacy? Yeah, this'll be easy...

Anyway, I gotta get ready for this party. Not a problem, except I can't remember where I put my dress uniform.
