• Wingspan: 17 feet when his wings are fully spread out. His wings are also sizable enough to reach down the majority of his back with the addition of long feathers. The top curve of his wings is a little above his shoulders when folded against his back.
• Feathers: In a word? Colorful.
• Eyes: Bright, icy blue.
• Build: Lithe. Svelte and elegant. Semi-athletic. He’s a lot stronger than he looks. But it's mostly lean muscle, so it makes any musculature more toned than big. Tall by humanoid standards.
• Uniform (on duty): Basically the average uniform, but non-constricting on arms and wings, there are multiple style choices depending on his mood. He only binds his wings in EV suits and small spaces.
• Taste in clothing (off duty): His style is loose. Beautiful and tastefully colorful. He's big on pastels and darker cool tone colors to contrast his brighter warm tones. He prefers shirts that are cropped a bit higher, and he unabashedly wears skirts when he can. He digs a feminine style, which has caused small amounts of confusion from some people due to lack of comparison of his race. But any confusion from people has also confused him in return since he doesn't have the historical context of clothing in accordance with past lifestyle roles that so many other races do. The daily use of clothes in personal expression even without practical use is the closest thing he has to a guilty pleasure as an Aurelian. He's just not guilty about it.
• Voice: Formal, but whimsical, speech patterns. He sounds as friendly and cheery as he is. His vocal range is a little higher, and when he's really excited there is a notable increase in the musical intonations. His accent is indeterminately sing-songy.
• Notable details: The first thing you'll likely notice about him is the extremely colorful feathered head crest. It only serves to add to his flamboyance as a person. Next, you'll notice the wings. Then maybe his height. He also has a black-tipped beak, and an intricate tattoo of a feather on the right side of it that has touches of yellow and orange. He is unique.

• Hobbies and Pastimes: Socializing, shamelessly singing and/or whistling. He often finds things to do with Engineering specifically; small practical things. He's learning a few commonly used federation languages. If he needs time to himself, he reads (fiction and nonfiction). And like many Aurelians, he values personal history and thus very much enjoys the act of journaling whether that's through personal logs, or physical writing. He keeps transcriptions of everything.
• Likes: Helping people, learning new things, show-tunes and upbeat sounds, also punk music, whistling, dancing, art, has a particular fondness for things that glow, flowers, bats, engineering.
• Dislikes: Unkindness. Dishonesty. Cardassian architecture and interior design. (To be clear: He doesn't dislike Cardassian people. He just does not like their choices in architecture and decor. He thinks it's too impersonal, intimidating, and borderline aggressive.) The Borg.
• Ambitions and Goals: Maybe get to the point where Chief Engineer is a viable option for him. Otherwise, his current goals are to do his best for the ship.
• Temperament: Very friendly. Does his best to express himself in a way that people see as approachable. Sometimes hard with a beak, but he's trying. He's a happy guy. In more dire situations he does have an ironic sense of humor. It helps keep him optimistic about it.
• Values: Above all, he values kindness, openness, and friendship. As such he does tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. Even if someone says something insensitive. He'll ask if they're okay before he pushes forward with correcting the behavior. Set aside his feelings to learn intent before taking offense.
• Orientation: He's open to any and all love, and will never turn it down based on past or present preferences if it comes about naturally. These things happen and he appreciates love in all of its forms. But historically Dekas tends to prefer men or those who lean into masculine energy as romantic partners and always has. And he is prone to a good little cheeky flirt. He likes the excuse to compliment people. Or get a laugh from people.
• Spiritual views: He is a strong spiritual believer in the great Pho'nix. He feels a strong connection to nature, the elements of air and fire, and the stars above. He has a necklace carved in the shape of a flame made out of a sunstone gem from Earth. It reminded him of his connection to The Pho'nix even so far from home. Like a fire of passion. He only wears it on special occasions, but he keeps it in pristine condition. Recently he went through Borg Assimilation trauma. Prior to that event, he didn't believe in a devil at all. But he equates the Borg as a Devil in essence now. This view is unique to Dekas and his experiences, and not to Aurelians as a whole.
• Known Languages: Fluent in: Tropical and Formal Aurelian dialects, plus two other Aurelian dialects, and Federation standard. Conversational in: Three more flock dialects, and Vulcan. Has very basic beginner's understanding of: Klingon and sign language.
• Vocal tics: Prone to making clicking sounds. The clicks increase when he can't remember a word in the language he's speaking. He loves the word "Marvelous!" His laughter is generally self-contained, involves more of a physical beak clicking or a soft-humored snort unless you can get him to bust up into hysterics.
• Aurelian traits:
  • Respectfully bowing in greeting and other little scenarios. To everyone.
  • Rambling about life, history, or interests for extended periods. Aurelians are taught to appreciate and reflect on history and passions and the history of passions sometimes. Their rite of passage is to recall and recite their entire family and flock history in extensive detail. It often takes many hours, up to a few days. So he can be chatty. On the plus side, he'll listen to the things you say and never feel like it's too much. He thinks people's idea of "long-winded" is child's play.
  • Expletives/exclamations referencing fire, feathers, or the Pho'nix. Most common ones being, "Feathers! / My Feathers!", "Flame in the sky!", and occasionally "Six flames!" There are others, but those are the ones he uses the most. He can also be known to utter affectionate phrases with those themes, too if he feels strongly enough about it. Such as, "I love you from ashes to return." It's a lot like "to the moon and back" but involves Phoenix and fire imagery.
  • He has a surprising appreciation for the typically creepy and macabre aspects of nature and life (or death).
  • Currently, he's damn near impossible to offend for any significant length of time. Aurelian communication skills are instilled early. They communicate so effectively that they've never had a conflict that couldn't be resolved amongst themselves. Usually, a family conflict is solved within a day or two. And any conflict that lasts longer is worked on to find a good solution whenever it's possible. If someone has hurt him, Dekas is likely to check in on them first. In his mind people don't lash out if something's not bothering them already. People don't ask uncomfortable personal questions, make insensitive comments or touch his wings without asking out of malice. And people don't criticize him, even harshly, if they aren't trying to help him in some way. He's naive enough to feel that way about the majority. Even while he knows there are people who hurt others on purpose. He wants to believe it's less common than it is, or that people are actively willing to learn from their actions and do better at some point. Any disappointment, sadness, anger, or upset doesn't usually last long and he gets back to it with even more determination. In the event he's said or done something harmful on accident or during one of those moments of upset, then he is deeply appreciative of people who hold him accountable.
  • As a result he struggles with interpersonal situations that aren't as easily resolved. And because it's so infrequent that he has intense, negative outbursts, he'd probably be extremely mortified if something managed to get to him like that. He's very grateful those things don't happen often. So if he ever acts out of intense rage, is upset enough to sob, or gets so anxious that he can't do his job without a clear cause and it becomes actively reoccurring... then something is deeply wrong with Dekas that goes far beyond base level.

Family
Zuka, Historian and Philosopher Dekas' Mother. As can be expected of Aurelians in general, he has an excellent relationship with his mother. She is someone he trusts deeply and wholeheartedly. She is one of his biggest supporters and one of the people who helped him the most during the few months he had to take a Leave of Absence, and during the height of his medical diagnosis around that time. She is a well-known historian and philosopher in his flock and has many a time left Dekas awake just thinking.
Daf, Teacher Dekas' Father. An equally excellent relationship with his father. He's a laid-back person who was more likely to let little things slip under the radar. Always affectionate when he was sad. Dekas did a certain amount of emulating his father growing up until he grew a little more into himself, though he still tries to emulate the patient compassion of his father.
Rha, Scientist Dekas' Eldest sister. She was already an adult by the time Dekas was hatched, so while they do know each other well, and get along just fine, they aren't as close as they could be due to the 20 year age difference. But he does look up to her. Has two bondmates and three children, all of which are only 4 years younger than Dekas is.
Ruri, Artist One of Dekas' eldest sisters. She's Rha's twin. And in a similar way, he's not as close to her as he could be because of that same 20 year age difference. However he's slightly close to Ruri than to Rha. She jokes a little more often. He looks up to her. She has a bondmate and 4 children who are only about 7 years younger than him.
Irik, Science Professor Dekas' eldest brother. Their age difference is 16 years. Again not the closest relationship due to the gap, but they get along swimmingly. Irik likes to playfully rib Dekas for things as older brothers sometimes do. Dekas does his best to have good comebacks but isn't always successful. It's their form of friendship and they have fun with it.
Keso, Animal keeper One of Dekas' eldest brothers. He's Irik's twin. 16 year age difference. Keso liked to go out a lot while Dekas was growing up, so they don't have the closest relationship based on lack of frequent interaction, This has especially true since Keso found a bondmate, and started having Fledglings of his own. (He has six of them and they're roughly 12 years younger than Dekas.) But they do get along when they're in a room together.
Sukki, Singer One of Dekas' older sisters. 13 year age difference. Dekas and Sukki can be known to spend a significant amount of time together when Dekas is on Aurelia. They are good friends and like making up little songs together. They fly together as well. He has very fond memories of that with her. She is currently unbonded, but has been a surrogate for same-gender bondmates before and is thrilled to give those Aurelians that joy.
Mars, House builder One of Dekas' older sisters. She's one of the triplets along with Sukki, 13 year age difference. She was a lot like their father in her gentle compassion, and desire to help the younger ones out. He looks up to her in a similar way. Has a bondmate, but no fledges currently.
Ehk, Painter One of Dekas' older sisters. She's one of the triplets along with Sukki, and Mars, 13 year age difference. She was always a little quieter, but he enjoys spending those quiet moments with her. However, when she wasn't being quiet, she was the one daring him to do mischievous things here and there.
Gura, Scientist One of Dekas' older brothers. 11 year age difference. He likes to goof around with Gura, they have a good, very playful bond. He also enjoys listening to Gura talk about the science things he's been part of. He has a bondmate and two young fledges.
Eris, Scientist One of Dekas' older sisters. She's Gura's twin. 11 year age difference. She and Gura were nearly inseparable growing up, so they both went into similar fields and often work closely together. As such, Dekas enjoys hearing her talk about her science career as well. Has a bondmate from a different flock of Aurelians with Blue and gold feathers, and one fledge called Zia'Qli whose feather colors are significantly different from both parents with green, blue, and orange feathers from the mix. Dekas is quite fond of Zia and finds he relates to the fact people often double-take when they see her. She's one of his favorite of his sibling's children.
Daffa, Musician One of Dekas' older sisters. Triplets with Koori and Ura. 5 year age difference to Dekas. They're decently close because of the closeness in ages, but he did have clear preference for Koori, so it never reached that level. However, he loves Daffa dearly and thinks her music is awesome.
Koori, Spiritualist One of Dekas' older sisters. Triplets with Daffa and Ura. 5 year age difference to Dekas. The sibling that Dekas feels closest to. The first few years of Dekas' life it was pretty averagely decent as far as relationships were concerned. But when Dekas hit about 6 years old, and Koori was 11, they started realizing that neither of them was settling all the way within what was normal for Aurelians to like in the way that they did. And they bonded through that. Koori was the person he went to when he was hurting, or not sure how to word something. She was usually one of the first, if not the first, to know something about Dekas if he felt inclined to say something. They did, however, have a distinct point of disagreement that neither of them really realized was there until it came up. Dekas eventually wanted to leave Aurelia and join Starfleet. Koori, however, didn't think that it was right for him. And when he told her that he'd been accepted into the academy on Earth, they got into what he considers their first real fight. The disagreement didn't get solved before he left because the only way she was going to be happy with any of it was if Dekas would compromise his own desires and stay where it was safest and where the family was, and the only way Dekas was going to be happy was if she'd just be happy for him. She didn't see him off when he left. For a while, this led to rather short communications over long-distance since both of them considered it a conversation to have in person. They had a few chances to talk it out when Dekas took his Leave of Absence. And there were brief conversations about it. But Dekas' diagnosis of his medical problem ended up postponing it since he had to deal with that first, and once it cleared up and his feathers grew back, it was clear he intended to leave again. Which she seemed to understand a little better this time since she did say goodbye the second time. So they're on better terms but have yet to have the full in-depth conversation about it yet. They're working to get there, though. She is unbonded, but she does have 2 young sons called Arlo and Azure from a previous partnership that didn't end up permanent in the bonded sense. They are Dekas' other two favorites of his sibling's children.
Ura, Crystal sculptor One of Dekas' older sisters. Triplets with Daffa and Koori. 5 year age difference to Dekas. They were fairly close given their closer age range, but because of his closeness to Koori, it wasn't quite as close as it could have been. But neither party is bitter because it's not like it's unusual to have favorites. She supports his goals and loves him dearly, and the sentiment is returned.

Friends & Crewmates
Oddas Aria, Captain Captain Oddas is someone that Dekas deeply admires and respects. He strives to emulate her strength and leadership in his own ways, and wishes to do well enough at his job on the ship to make her proud. Dekas also considers her a friend in the downtime and doesn't at all see what people could possibly mean by 'stand-offish' as she's never given him that impression. Sometimes leaders have to be serious, and of course, Captains have a certain need to be a little more impersonal in certain situations. He doesn't consider those aspects to make her any less approachable than someone who's looser in the shoulders. But he hopes that she will one day also consider him equal parts her friend in times where she can.
Kalia Qinn, Ship's XO Dekas has only talked to her a small number of times thus far, but he implicitly trusts Commander Qinn due to her helping to save him from the horrific fate of becoming a Borg drone. She has also only ever shown him kindness. Given the value he places on kindness and compassion, he finds her to have a lot of both and has nothing but good things to say about her.
T'Lea, Shipmate and 2O After getting caught in the malfunctioning megadeck on The Spike during a shore leave, Dekas would like to think they're friends. At the very least he thinks they'd work well together. He likes her and thinks she's fun to be around.
John Kendrick, Shipmate Dekas thinks that John Kendrick has absolutely marvelous vibes about him and would like nothing more than to gain his friendship as time goes on.
Karise Indobri, CMO He's run into Doctor Indobri a few times and finds her very calming to speak with. Very understanding. Something she said at the beginning of a mission hit him as true; he doesn't need to be sick to say hello. After things are all sorted, he plans to take time to visit the sickbay to stop in just to say hi, and make time to really make friends. Doctors are more than just Doctors, after all.
Kiran Han, Marine Major, friend, and someone to coax a smile out of There is a fondness there for Major Han that he's not sure how to describe. Prior to his assimilation crisis, it was simply that Major Han was someone he felt safe around and found pleasant to talk to. Things that are still true to now. But there was something about the surprising gentleness that he showed toward him while in the midst of his assimilation, that the fondness did increase. Even wearing literal Marine Armor, he risked himself before it was fully sure the anti-assimilation medicine would work completely. It's a different flavor of fondness than what he has for the medical staff about it, but just as strongly rooted. A personal goal for Dekas that came out of it is the desire to make the very serious Han smile around him at least once in a while. Really smile. He understands that the seriousness is as much a natural thing as it is something of an element to being a Marine. But he also wants to be someone that he can remove some of his metaphorical Marine armor for. Because Kiran Han is far more than just a marine. He's a person. He's his friend. He wants him to feel like he can be Kiran Han, and not just Major Han all the time.
Motor Vihn, Doctor, Friend-At-First-Site, person who's extremely fun to banter with. Dekas and Vihn met when Dekas was getting assimilated. They were one of the main people who helped make sure it all worked. They were extremely compassionate and professional during a very stressful and life-threatening situation, and as a result Dekas considers them a friend-at-first-sight. Since then they've had a good variety of chances to talk, including a short camping trip on Ring 42 along with Kalia Qinn and her daughter Tashi. Dekas found out Doctor Vihn is excellent at some friendly flirty banter and Dekas enjoys it immensely. It's very entertaining and easy going. Including the flirty banter roasting them for their tent building skills, which are minimal. His general opinion is that to be ironic he'd die for them, but realistically he'd actually live for them.
Katrina Pelley, Nurse and instant friend Nurse Katrina Pelley was there when his assimilation happened, and there when she absolutely saved his life from that assimilation (alongside the doctor). In a very similar way that he feels toward the doctor, he adores Nurse Pelley. And he would help her with anything that she needed if she asked. He's also planning on giving her a massive, full-winged hug once he's healed. Because as much as the doctor helped as well, he wants her to be aware of how big of a role she played too, how deserving she is of his gratitude. And how amazing she is to him. He has trusted her with his life and would do so again in a heartbeat.
Tomas Falt, shipmate He finally got the opportunity to chat with Tomas Falt in a fantasy holodeck adventure where he was played a Barbarian, Dekas a bard, Sera a ranger, and Vihn a cleric. He thinks his willingness to just go for things is enjoyable and hopes to get more chances like that.
Nyka Wyss, Engineering buddy Met her on the malfunctioning megadeck. She was very kind to him and he thinks she has great music taste. He hopes they have a chance to get to know each other better, and potentially work together on things in the future. She is a member of the USS Grace Hopper crew, and Dekas is glad they're working in the same area of the quadrant.
Sera, Shipmate, fellow Engineer Dekas officially met her when she showed up to an invited fantasy adventure in the holodeck where she played a ranger, he played a bard, Vihn played a Cleric, and Falt played a Barbarian. He thinks she's funny and is very excited to get chances to interact with her more. He's never been deterred by the idea of Vulcan logic which she seems to exude a lot of. He also thinks she's fun.
Vel Careno, Shipmate, fellow Engineer Dekas and Vel have not officially met yet, so it's hard to say what their relationship will be yet. But he's always a fan of a good Engineer. He takes some time during assimilation recoup in sickbay to become acquainted with things so he's not confused when he goes back, and what little he learns off the bat is that he's extremely delighted to work with her. She seems colorful, and full of bright, fiery, passionate energy. Something he finds mirrors his own personality in a certain way. He might not be overly argumentative in the way she might be, but he appreciates insight, thoughts, and constructive criticism in all its forms. No way to improve if you can't learn to take in the perspective of another person at their level.
Kettick, Shipmate, fellow Engineer Dekas and Kettick have not officially met yet, either. So again, it's hard to say what their relationship will be yet. But he's a fan of a good Engineer. He takes some time during assimilation recoup in sickbay to become acquainted with things so he's not confused when he goes back, and what little he learns off the bat is that they have a decent amount in common already despite being such different people, from such different places, and he is thrilled to learn more and work with him.

Other

Zaraleek-Om, Childhood friend, traveler, unrequited love Zaraleek-Om is the grandson of Aurelia's late renowned Historian Loom Aleek-Om. He's about a year older than Dekas. They met through their mothers being well-known historians within their respective flocks, and good friends as a result. Zaraleek became Dekas' best friend that wasn't a related family member. At about 12 & 13 years old, they did stop seeing each other in person as frequently due to other life things and distance but kept in pretty good contact. They were both present for each other's adulthood ceremonies. It's unsure when, but Dekas gained romantic feelings for Zara and considered courting him. But Zara, despite being kind and compassionate and smart and everything that Dekas adored, was also a huge free spirit. Not to be tethered or tied down. He went off-world to study medicine (as a civilian, and not in Starfleet.) Which stopped Dekas from pursuing it, and made him put his focus back on Starfleet. During Dekas' LOA, he was back home for a little while. And Dekas did consider it again before realizing that Zara only stayed longer to help with Dekas' medical issue. Zara is wonderful, and Dekas loves him deeply for all that he is. But Zara is also emotionally unavailable in very specific ways. His only commitments are knowledge, experience, passion, and helping others. Committed to his own freedom in a way. It's something that Dekas respects, as he believes it would be cruel to expect Zara to do anything that would dim his light. Zaraleek has unintentionally toyed with his feelings because he's very flirtatious and cheeky by nature. It hurts. They agreed to stay in better contact since that LOA, and Dekas plans to make good on the promise as he just wants him in his life. He doesn't dwell too much. He prefers to focus on things in his present situations and relationships. But there are unrequited, unresolved feelings about Zaraleek-Om nonetheless.

Background

---

Dekas was raised in the tropics of Aurelia. He is the youngest of 13 children hatched by Zuka and Daf. It is a lot to live up to, but he's doing his best to make a name for himself in the universe.

Dekas is a clear byproduct of his planet's culture and that culture's lack of conflict with his people and other peoples. He's cautious, but he will give anyone the benefit of the doubt until he no longer can. He knows not every person or group has good intentions. A noticeable majority of the still missing Aurelians can be traced back to his flock and similarly unique flocks. (There is, after all, a reason that most Aurelians seen these days are of yellow or golden-toned feathers.) He sometimes wonders if they're still out there, or if their descendants are, and if they'll ever be found. But much like the rest of his people, he tries to move past it and not look at other races as people who'd do the same as the Orions.

He’s extremely friendly, and always willing to help. Family is important to him, so he tries to find family in the friends he has around him.

He was drawn to Starfleet from the moment he knew about it. And the interest in it only increased when he learned about Aurelia's well-renowned historian Loom Aleek-Om, who left and got the chance to experience the Guardian of Forever by doing so. He wanted to have his own once-in-a-lifetime experience. Despite that, he was almost talked out of it during a fight with his sister Koori. But in the end, he followed his intuition and his heart and chose to go. Most of his family encouraged this and were supportive. Curious. Excited for him. Koori was supportive enough to not fight him on it again, though she didn't say goodbye when he left. As of current, their relationship is a little distanced. He plans to try and mend it as much as he can the next time he visits home. They both just consider it a conversation to be had in person and not over long-distance communiques.

He originally thought he wanted to follow in the footsteps of both his mother, and Aleek-Om and be a historian. But found he had an affinity and passion for Engineering. Something unusual for Aurelians to be interested in. But he enjoys it very much and switched specializations and majors.

He graduated from classes with good marks. Specialized in Material Engineering and Programming and minored in Propulsion Systems and Helm navigation. On the side, he took a class on basic psychology, a few languages, and history because he finds them fascinating. He also knows how to administer very basic first aid treatment as needed because he felt it would be beneficial regardless of where he ended up. Just in case.

He is part of the Juneau's crew as one of the ship's engineers. He took a brief leave of absence for a few months due to some personal stress he needed to work out. And stayed away longer than intended because of a rare Aurelian medical concern that came up unexpectedly. But he is back on board the Juneau and is learning how to take things as they come.

Visitors in the Night (239801-239802)

The crew of the USS Juneau is investigating a black hole circling a quasar, when probes pick up evidence of a derelict vessel on the verge of being pulled in. Closer inspection shows it to be a pair of vessels, a large vessel of unknown origin and a smaller but still large Mithgiln vessel.

Shore Leave (239802-239803)

Dekas checks in with, then XO, Commander Orrey. He also gets his first medical check done by Doctor Rel Cassi and is in fine health. He gets the chance to visit Lightside Station and finds himself making friends with Isabelle Deveaux, Vitor Silveira, and Kalos Fiorr in the floral boutique. Dekas also gets the chance to help rescue Kidnapped and stranded officers T'Lea and Indobri from the uninhabitable planet below the station. Followed by an awards ceremony to finish the Shore Leave off.

The Brave Ferengi (239803-239804)

The Jem'Hadar found a new home on Aturn VII, a planet claimed by the Ferengi DaiMon Kaybay. Captain Oddas is called upon by First Bekanar’Klan to mediate a peaceful resolution.

Shore Leave (239804-239805)

Dekas visits Nyka Wyss' new size upgrade to Lightside Station's holodeck (affectionately dubbed The Megadeck). He is also there with T'Lea, and Doctor Indobri. They all find themselves stuck in it as it malfunctions and the holographic people in this Old Western setting process him as he is and they are starting to think for themselves. In the end, Indobri uses her telepathic abilities to make them go to sleep, while Dekas figures out the Engineering side of things. Once sorted, they find that it's related to an Iconian artifact that was connected to it that was giving them something akin to sentience. Nyka Wyss and Dekas become friends, and she gives him a cowboy hat as a gift. This is also the Shore Leave where Dekas spent a little time in the spa with Captain Oddas and their new Intelligence officer Alexander Williams. Dekas also visits Counselor Tierney to talk about the previous mission and some little family issues back home on Aurelia.

Return to the Ring (239805-239806/239807)

Captain Melchor of the USS Grace Hopper contacts the USS Juneau after their Away Team has gone missing on Ring 42 in the Dialran system.

LOA: Dekas takes a brief LOA home to Aurelia 239807-239811 (Roughly. Give or a few weeks.)

Shoreleave (239811)

Dekas returns from his LOA at the tail end of the Juneau's Shore Leave on DS9 and Bajor. He gets a quick chance to explore the station, get a little acquainted, and get a good view of the marvelous Bajoran wormhole. He then checks in with their very new XO Kalia Qinn, who asks him while he's there what his opinion is on if the awards ceremony should be casual or formal, and he answers with casual. Then follows it up by later going to the casual awards ceremony where he gets a chance to talk with Captain Oddas and Stelek in the process.

The Silent Monster (239811-239812/239901)

As the Juneau is surveying the planet Anadasa, an M-class world inhabited by a pre-industrialized civilization, the Tactical Department detects a crashed Borg ship deep within the planet’s ocean.

Mission- The Silent Monster:

• "The Careless Version. Part 2" - (239812.21 On an abandoned Cardassian base that's being rewritten with Borg specs and blocking transporters to the ship, Dekas gets jabbed with a Borg injection tube and starts the beginning stages of assimilation.)
• "Threshold." - (239812.24 Dekas' Assimilation escalates to a peak. And at the moment where he thinks it's all over, and that resistance really is futile, hope arrives in the form of Commander Kalia Qinn.)
• "Not if. When." & "Be Honest." - (239812.30 With the anti-assimilation drug administered, and the base taken down, Dekas is beamed into sickbay in the care of Doctor Vihn and Nurse Pelley. Dekas goes through the ebb and flow of fear and hope.)
• "The end of a really long day." - (239901.01 Vihn and Pelley find a solution to the problem and give Dekas a successful dose of anti-assimilation medication and he's finally able to go to sleep.)
• "The Pit." - (239901.02 Dekas dreams, and buries the pain with the shade of himself in said dream.)
