Family
Personality & Traits
David's remaining family consists of an Aunt and Uncle (Nathaniel and Rachel Prewitt) still living on Earth and running the family distillary business, along with a pseudo-adopted sister, Deboarh Turow, who runs the family business back on Mars. His other uncle, Amwin Jennett disappeared after he was disowned from the family. He also has an adopted daughter, B'Sara Cody.
*Temperment:
** Observant, on the blunt side in conversation although over the years he's tempered his 'direct-to-the-point' approach for a humourous outlook on most things while maintaining professionalism. He likes to tinker around with small technology projects and spend time with friends and family. He keeps an open mind but does get stubborn on occasion. He has always been somewhat of a take point, prefering to dive into the middle of the action and not one to laze around. Loves his family and treasures the time he has with them, adopted or otherwise. He's hit a point where he tempers his directness with a softer, laid back touch of support, knowing he's not going to be able to entirely overcome his direct methods. He is supportive of his colleagues, maintains and encourages other perspectives, and enjoys an open dialogue.

Spouse
*Habits:
* Marital Status: Unavailable
**He likes to set aside a little time in the day to work on a small tech project.
* Significant Other: n/a
**Takes time to meditate and a bit of quiet time
**Has a right side, crooked smile
**Can't resist taking apart some interesting piece of tech
**Exercises three to four times a week
**Keeps a clean, organized work space and doesn't like clutter (unless he's tinkering, modifying, or creating some kind of tech).

Children
*Hobbies and Passtimes:
* Daughter: B'Sara Cody**
**David loves to tinker around with bits and pieces of tech, given that his favorite place is a mechanic's garage where he spent a chunk of his youth. With that, he enjoys a lot of the forging process, from programming, engineering, carpentry, metalsmithing. He enjoys playing guitar every once in a great while, but isn't in practice. He loves mountain climbing and cave diving, two passions out of youth having grown up on Mars. Along with that is a love for swimming, ocean and sky sailing. He likes books on history, archaeology, and a good mystery novel. In the later years he's gotten into fencing and swordwork and has developed an interest in art, a more recently discovered passion for paintings.
** B'Sara is not David's biological daughter, but his adopted daughter.

Parents
*Likes and Dislikes:
* Father: Barnes Cody (Deceased)
**He has a love/hate relationship with holodecks. David and holodecks get along just fine when everything is working correctly, but doesn't like them when they start acting out (although given his history with holomatrix technology, it's an irritant more than a dislike). He is also not fond of medical beds, and finds excuses to avoid getting physicals (due to the fact he spent almost three years in a coma). He loves a good game of chess, and when he has the time, likes to make Scotch Whiskey. He's developed an interest in painting, which he enjoys doing and find it to be theraputic. Given a choice, David would rather be outdoors and exploring new places, antiquing, and enjoying life and the universe at large. He loves to explore.
* Mother: Barbara Jennet

Siblings
*Ambitions and Goals:
* Sister (non-related): Deborra Turow'endial
**After so many years, David has reached a number of goals and things he set out to do. Right now his goals are more family-focused, being a father to his adopted daughter, [Cody, B'Sara|B'Sara]], enjoy life, and settle down. After the situation regarding the Odyssey Station, he's less apt to be a procedural officer and more of a 'let's just see and figure it out' approach. He'd like to see if his new-founding painting hobby yields more serious works. He'd like to settle down, relax, and enjoy the rest of his life while exploring the universe. Perhaps a write a holo-novel. Enjoy his friends and family.
** Deborah moved in with the Cody family when she was sixteen. While she was never officially adopted, she is as much as a Cody as she is a Turow'endial.

Romantic Relationships
In 2384 David met a rising chief engineer, then Lieutenant Quinn Reynolds that sparked an instant attraction, despite their respective bad luck in the romance department. Their relationship was brief, interrupted by a clone replacement of Reynolds during a Breen resurgeance and David's command-focused career derailed future plans. She left for Starbase 118 not long after.
Family History

Less than two days after returning to Starfleet in August of 2389, David swept his commanding officer, newly minted Captain Kali Nicholotti into a dance that did more than just waltz across the floor, kindling deeper feelings and a strong attraction during a formal dinner and promotion celebration. Over the course of the incident within the Thracian Alliance and the Klingons during the crisis, David found himself drawn deeper towards his commanding officer, cultimating with the Victory's return to the StarBase and sharing his feelings with her. In November of 2389, they made the decision to move in together after Kalianna died a second time, only to be revived by an ingenious Doctor Johanna MacLaren where they spent the night together in the Recovery Room of the USS Victory. Afterwards, they decided to move in and live together.

Ambitions and Goals
Originally, Dave had set out to become a trade securities investigator, which he had spent a number of years doing before coming to Starfleet. Once in the Fleet, he concentrated primarily on his job while finding out his personal goals opening up needed to be addressed. Over the course of the two to three years Dave has served with the Fleet, his goals have been met in some areas, have still a ways to go in others. He's seen the changes within himself since joining Starfleet.

Coming back, David's focued on reintegrating himself into the Fleet and plans to enjoy himself along with meeting and working with old and new friends. He does plan to recover the chunk of time he can't remember as well as address the flashes of faces and places he knows he's never met or been to. Having been in command, David's not opposed to returning to it, but there's no rush or urgency. He may step in now and again when he's needed, but his immediate goal is to get back and get to know his new crew with new adventures ahead to learn more.

Personal Achievements and Disappointments
The greatest personal achievement Dave ever made was reconsiling his inner struggles with emotional ties and being open. He was somewhat successful in combating his chronic insomnia (which has been surprisingly absent since returning). However, David still hasn't been so lucky with the relationship department. He counted his dedication to his career as one of the dominant factors. At the moment, he's moreorless certain he's destined for eternal bachelorhood. One of his greatest joys is watching B'Sara grow into a strong young women.

Born in 2352, David is the only child of civilian engineer Barnes Cody and his wife, Barbara Jennet, the founder and owner of Jennet Trade Securities Corporation (JTSC). His childhood was filled with the sweeping sand dunes and the colony cities of Mars, where he had attended primary and secondary education, and could usually be found helping his father rebuilt machines or out cave diving, one of his loved pastimes from youth. He had the opportunity to help his father restore an old Forerunner shuttlecraft (which would later be identified as the JTSC-3 Prototype), and given the location of the house, which was outside of the city, he was very much an outback child getting a mix of both the old and the new.

The Fate of the Independence-A
Awards & Commendations
The USS Independence-A was lost to the Mirror Universe due to excessive damage caused by the combined might of two major powers. Fleet Captain Sidney Riley set the auto self-destruct, but the ship did not implode and instead was last seen drifting into the vastness of space in November of 2388. Whether or not the ship succumbed to the elements cannot be ascertained, or whether or not it fell into another fissure of space time. It may be still adrift and lost to time, or it may have piece by piece fallen apart.

  • Hobbies and Passtimes:
    • David loves to tinker around with bits and pieces of tech, given that his favorite place is a mechanic's garage where he spent a chunk of his youth.
  • Likes and Dislikes:
    • He has a love/hate relationship with holodecks.
  • Ambitions and Goals:
    • After so many years, David has reached a number of goals and things he set out to do.

Born in 2352, David is the only child of civilian engineer Barnes Cody and his wife, Barbara Jennet, the founder and owner of Jennet Trade Securities Corporation (JTSC). He had the opportunity to help his father restore an old Forerunner shuttlecraft (which would later be identified as the JTSC-3 Prototype), and given the location of the house, which was outside of the city, he was very much an outback child getting a mix of both the old and the new...
