Daniel Cain was born and raised in a small village in what was once known as the Yorkshire Dales. Mainly farming land now, and mainly work by robots of one form or another, the majority of people in this area were engineers tasked with the maintenance and repair of the machines that did the farm work. Cain has some ability in this area and started from a young age. He was tall for his age, and with the work that he did, was never out of shape. Also studying Jiu Jitsu helped. He and his sister studied from a young age with a drifter who finally settled in the village when he was 10. No belts, no medals, just a straight up way how to win a fight. Cain and his sister enjoyed this more than their engineering up bringing.

Cain wanted more after a couple of years of this, as opposed to his twin who was very happy where she was. After bidding goodbye to his Sister (and best friend) he travelled to San Francisco, and the something more he was looking for.

Upon enrolling in Starfleet Academy, Cain naturally gravitated towards Security Courses.  He had very rarely handle ranged weapons in his home town but found himself a natural with any given weapon but excelled with Phaser Rifles.  Seeing his proficiency he was pushed forward into Small Unit Combat, where again he excelled.  Naturally with Cain took every course that enabled him to fight in CQB with a small unit which eventually lead him into Combat Leadership Roles within his Cadet Force.

After graduating from his final assessment, Cain was posted to the [[Embassy|Embassy on Duronis II]].  There he work closely with the Security and Marine elements on various clandestine missions.  During an attack on the Embassy, Cain defended the entrance from a land based attack.  During the the battle he was heavily injured and put in a coma.  Well that's what the Staff at the Embassy believe........
