Churok

Churok is a 187-year-old Vulcan columnist for the Federation News Service. A veteran reporter who made a name for himself with his coverage of the Khitomer Accords in 2293, Churok's hard-hitting questions often caused Federation President Ra-ghoratreii to sigh in frustration during press briefings. Still, the two men developed a close friendship, and the beloved president eventually asked Churok to serve as his press secretary in his final term in office. Years later, the retired president tasked Churok with writing his official biography.

These days, Churok has left the reporting to his younger colleagues, but his commentary on foreign affairs and council politics continues to resonate across the Federation. He is often amused by his colleague Maronida Shiir and her "fanciful imagination," as he puts it. The two are frequent guests on current affair programs, and their debates have often garnered more press afterward than the original topics they were discussing.
