Chris was raised in the poor areas of London, not having achieved overly at school it was deemed he may turn to crime and this spurred his parents into guiding him towards Starfleet.

A natural fighter through the many skirmishes he had as a child, his interest was naturally the marines at first but his parents wanted more for him so convinced him that security was the role to train for. At the Academy he wasn't the best student but he kept focused because the most important aspect of life to Chris is his parents and he promised them he would complete the Academy and make something of himself.
