Backstory/Timeline
Ben made it into the academy on his fourth attempt, choosing an expertise in weapons and tactical simulations. His results were spotty at best all through the academy; as one instructor put it, he had mainly failed to fail. He did pass, in the end, and was rewarded for his efforts with a post on a small out-of-the-way station in disused space.
