HISTORY: Raised in the vast Canadian prairies, Charlie Berkowski can oftentimes be considered kind-hearted yet mildly naive about the going-ons of the outside world. His dedication to the problem in front of him can often blind him from what is going on around him. Because of his families' history in Starfleet, stretching back several generations, it was always assumed that he would follow preconceptions and join himself once he was properly able to. Along with this was always the notion that he would take up medicine as his main discipline, which he did; surgery to be his main area of expertise.
