Ba'roq is an engineering officer aboard the USS Mercury.
Backstory
The drydock engineers think the Mercury’s haunted. Ba'roq thinks they're just a bunch of spineless petaQ. The gruff Klingon had served on the Mercury’s engineering department under the ship's two previous chief engineers Tobias Walker and Roshanara Rahman before the Oracle class vessel was taken out of service after the Gateway Crisis of 2390.
Unlike many of his comrades who transferred to the USS Garuda, Ba'roq instead worked with Lieutenant Juanita Sanchez during the Mercury’s overhaul and refit. He came to respect her similar sense of attitude and approach to the work. In another life, she would have made a worthy par'Mach'kai, but in this life, he is content to serve her and his shipmates as one of the few Mercury veterans now aboard.
