As a result of the accident - and despite being the first Maxwell to attain the rank of Lt.Cdr. - William was very quiet about his Starfleet service and very rarely wore his ribbons or any insignia at formal occasions. His sons found his award case one afternoon however, and saw at least a dozen different Starfleet awards as well as  “a couple” of Klingon medals, and one of Bajoran origin.

Abrielle insists upon talking to her children in Italian, in order that they keep speaking it, and she also always communicated at home with her husband in the same way. One of their little quirks was the playful argument from William that he wished she wouldn't speak Italian all the time as he could hardly understand a word she says. The reality is that her husband - without needing to - learned Italian in secret whilst they were still courting, so that when the time came he could ask for her parents consent to marry her in the language they both always spoke.

While still looking for a regular job, Henry discovered the stations four-tier ice hockey competition and managed to get himself onto the bench for the Dry Dock Wharfers, a Delta League team based in the San Francisco District.

Rosetta Maxwell is Milly's "second bestest lady in the universe", right after her GranMama. She is also quite close to her brother, Henry, loves her mother dearly and would have done anything for her father who she dearly misses. Rosetta does not get along with her other brother however, and the two are quite open about their dislike for one another. Arturo's claiming of some Irish girl from next door as his "sister" is perfectly fine with Rosetta, as it means she doesn't have to bother being one. Except of course at family gatherings when she has no option, and will exchange a curt greeting with Arturo before ignoring him for the rest of the evening.

Janice is Max's Aide, reporting to him directly and ensuring the neat organization and smooth running of Max's office in his role of CTO. She also willingly took up the same duties over again during Max's brief tenure as the stations Second Officer. Whilst it meant a great deal of extra work, it also meant a great deal more time spent around a man that she adores. Knowing that he regularly works right through or sometimes sleeps in his office, Janice makes sure there is always a folded blanket on the short sofa, and a clean uniform neatly folded in the bottom drawer of Max's desk.
