History

Aron Kells is the third child of an ex-officer and a now-deceased actress, both of whom gained marginal success in their respective careers. Bridget Kells helped the young holopic industry on Mars move into its own as a leading lady, and John Joseph Buckingham successfully tested three new Starfleet fighters, one of which he had helped design. Aron and his brother and sister never wanted for much as children, and so he grew up to be rather privileged. He possesses the intelligence to back up a certain arrogance, though the unequal ground between "moderately successful" and "smashingly popular" seems, to him, to be quite irrelevant. In short, he is most unproven, though eager to get on with the proof.

Aron proceeded through the Academy at the normal age and graduated after a year aboard the explorer USS Scott on a survey of the reaches of the Beta Quadrant, where he worked to catalogue the genetic and epigenetic makeups of strange new creatures. Following the cruise, he was assigned to the USS Drake and rapidly found his element receding. Despite his fiery baptism, he found himself rising to the challenge, including working towards the capture of a Romulan war criminal and the discovery of a network of tetryon sandbars.

Timeline

Trivia

Note that this is all out-of-character, of course. Aron was named for the two youngest brothers in John Steinbeck's East of Eden, Aron and Caleb.
