Cadet Renato was born on Betazed on stardate 237311.18. From a very young age, Alyssa set very high standards for herself with a biting need to prove her worth to herself and others. She became frustrated with her schooling on Betazed because telepathic communication doesn't come easily to her. On the rare occasion that was allowed to travel with her father for diplomatic functions, she found herself very interested to learn about the other cultures that her father was interacting with. Because of this fascination with alien cultures, she decided to train at Starfleet Academy. She focused primarily on Security/Tactical, but took some Psychology classes as well with the thought that you can't defeat an enemy without getting inside their head.
