History

They were first encountered by the USS Voyager in 2372 when an away team was sent to the surface of their homeworld in search of tellerium. The paranoid and hostile Mokra Order treated the Alsaurians as a sub-class and ruled the planet without mercy, including the prohibition on having communications equipment. The Mokra Order claimed to be helping the Alsaurian against common enemies.

Government

They are not allowed any form of self government by the Mokra who now control their planet. The current government is the Mokra Order.

Description

They appear like terrans but with a raised nose bridge that has slight ridges. Both of these start at the tip of the nose and ends between the eye brows. For the most part males keep their hair very short and the females wear it shoulder length. They have a fair complexion and a wide variety of hair and eye color.

They were a peaceful agricultural people but have now been forced to increase the number of mining and refining facilities that they operate. Not much else is know at this time.

They supply the Mokra with many resources and finished goods at a greatly reduced value. Imports from the Mokra are very expensive.

They have no military of any kind. Even their police forces are made up of Mokra as they are the only ones allowed to be armed.
