Alden is an affable and quick witted, a man whose free, bright smile is matched by a bright mind. A man who tries to enjoy everything he does, Alden is a natural born optimist even if he has a penchant for sarcasm and a possesses a certain sardonic streak. An accomplished scholar-athelete, Alden is more than just your typical Starfleet fly-boy and was an Olympic-level swimmer in addition to having earned top marks in his courses at Starfleet Academy and two advanced degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Alden sees his chosen career path as a grand-adventure and one that has allowed (and even encouraged) him to pursue a variety of interests and cross-training opportunities in addition to the standard Starfleet missions of exploring new worlds and making contact with new peoples.
