Ensign Alara Scarrow is currently serving as a HCO Officer aboard the USS Constitution.

Background

Born to very conventional parents on the high gravity world of Luraul in the Beta Quadrant, Alara Scarrow always strove to be different from her peers. Unlike her family and many of her early friends in Seyble Province, she was very driven from a young age. Alara always had to be the very best at whatever she put her mind too which often caused some problems for her in her youth.

Often deemed too serious for a youngster (anyone up to the age of 50 on Luraul as Al-Leyans can live to be 200), Alara is incredibly focused to a fault, often blaming herself if things do not go her way. She is also deceptively strong for her size in comparison to most other species due to the high gravity conditions on her homeworld, thus giving her increased strength in proportion to a Human.

When Alara reached her late 20’s she struck out into the void to find her true calling, leaving her homeworld behind. Although not an easy decision, Alara was comfortable it was the correct one and her family supported her in her goals.

It wasn’t long after jumping between several cargo ships and space stations that she began to be attracted by the ideals and drive that many Starfleet officers she met along the way showed.

Alara Scarrow had found her calling, Starfleet Academy.

During her time in the various classes and simulators, she began to gravitate towards piloting shuttles, operations and especially the helm positions. Like many other aspects of her life, being at the helm of a Starship offered Alara the control in her life she was seeking.
