//Personal Log 239809.04

So the past little bit has been wild. So we’ve arrived at Antor II to assist them wherever we can. They actually have an anti-Federation and anti-Starfleet bias here. It was something we had to be careful of in our time here. That said, I hope we’ve made a good impression on them. I was originally here to help with mine safety and pandemic prevention. Ensign Reade and Ms. Sakamoto, a government inspector, came along with me to check out Russell River Mines. Unfortunately, we had an earthquake which trapped us along with other miners inside the mines for a few days. I really felt that everything I learned in regards to leadership was put to the test here. I ended up having to lead a team of mostly strangers with different skills. It kind of reminded me of being captain on the strangest ship. Except well… I’m not actually the captain of anything and that I’m just a Lieutenant Junior Grade. But between everyone and myself, we were able to ensure our survival long enough until rescue teams found us.

Also, just going to add here - T-100 industrial replicators may be great at replicating parts for mining equipment. But they’re actually really poor at replicating anything edible. It mostly tasted like CARDBOARD to me. I think the humans held up much better with it than I did. I ended up really hungry throughout the whole event.

Ensign Reade and I had to stay in sickbay to recover from the experience. It’s always just WEIRD being a patient in your OWN sickbay. But it wasn’t long before we had recovered and were back on our feet again. We seemed to have made our Captain quite proud of us. Heh. I like that feeling. I’m going to hold on to that one.

As for other events on Antor, Reade and I have had to do interviews at various news outlets and I know at least in my case, two daytime talk shows. It felt so strange to have the spotlight on me like this. People really wanted to talk to the heroic Klingon…. Gah. They could NEVER get my job title right. Most will call me “doc” or “doctor” when that’s not accurate. There was also “nurse” being thrown around a few times too which I’m not. But you know what was great? The catered food. Yes! Many of these news outlets actually had CATERED NON-REPLICATED food! This totally beats eating from a T-100 by MILES! I’ve had to swim extra laps in the pool just to keep in-shape from all the nicer meals I’ve been getting! Ha!

But I think there are a few things I’m really grateful for - having a great crew and a great ship. That we were able to save as many miners as we did. That we were able to reunite many of those miners with their families. Especially Mister S’Ten. Pretty sure that man can outstubborn a Tellarite when it comes to matters of his own health. He was actually tricky to get to stay put and recover! Good man otherwise, though.

So where does that leave me now? Well, I may not have been able to celebrate my birthday in the mine. But I am going to treat myself to a nice coffee at the Brew Continuum. Also, I'm working on my project for Antor. I’m going to be actually dropping by Kos General Hospital today to have a look at what things are like there. I’m also going to continue my studies into leadership and look into the emergency medicine fellowship.

Anyways, computer, end log.
