The Ranger-A deck allocation differs from the Nebula Class as it is the last of the Mk-IXD-A design, which is modeled and based on the Nebula Class starship. Because of its mission parameters, the deck allocation was resourced to 19 decks (opposed to a Nebula Class starship's 32 decks) to increase its design performance.
