118Wiki revisions by method

Methods and caveat

These figures may not be precise and may be revised in the future!

The figures were acquired by using a user-made Python script that accessed 118Wiki API ("query", "allrevisions"). The revisions were divided into the respective revision methods based on the relevant tag each revision had. "Plain" encompasses revisions without tags after file uploads were removed (see below). Note that while "2010 Wikieditor" does not appear to have a tag in the recent edits, edit histories or user contributions, a tag still appears in the API query.

There are some caveats why these figures may not be accurate. Firstly, revisions to pages that are deleted may not be listed. Secondly, file uploads have no tag but are out of the scope of this project, so all file namespace edits without an edit method tag were ignored. It is possible that some non-2010 Wikieditor edits or similar were removed. The upload counts were verified to be roughly correct by comparison to the Upload log.

Notes:

  1. MediaWiki system used by 118Wiki was updated on 16th Jan 2023, introducing VisualEditor, among others. The sudden change in the figures is explained by the update.
