- Dassa had been nervous about her using the transporter after her recent surgery and it had taken a great deal of convincing for Dassa to let her use the forearm crutches instead of the hoverchair. As she materialized on the transporter pad, Lael struggled to remain standing, the room spinning around her. She grimaced as Dassa helped steady her. Maybe the transporter hadn't been such a great idea after all.::
- She looked up to find someone in command colors standing before her, presuming this person to be her new commanding officer. She stood as straight as she could with the crutches.::
Rosek: Lieutenant Lael Rosek, Helm, reporting for duty.
Rhani: Captain Keelah Rhani. Welcome to the Za. ::glancing pointedly at the medic:: Both of you.
Rosek: ::sheepishly:: She's assisting me. I had surgery recently.
Rhani: Hmm. Seems like we have a failure of communication somewhere along the line, then. ::head tilting slightly:: Is there going to be any problem I need to know about?
::Lael opened her mouth to reply only to have Dassa respond.::
Alexander: ::offers Rhani a PADD:: My transfer orders.
Rosek: ::to Dassa:: I thought you said...
- Keelah accepted the padd, looking over what it displayed, then looked up at the duo.::
Rhani: Why do I get the feeling that *someone* is surprised by what I have in my hand right now?
Alexander: ::brow furrows thoughtfully:: I thought it was a mistake at first, given that I had notified Starfleet Medical of Lieutenant Rosek's upcoming procedure. But when I contacted Command, I was assured that Lieutenant Rosek was transferring with me so she could remain in my care.
Rosek: ::eyes widen:: You knew? Why didn't you say something when I came out of it?
Alexander: ::to Rosek:: I was working up to it when you told me about your and Chythar's transfer.
Rhani: Aaaand this is the point where I decide that I don’t need to be part of this conversation any more. Seems to me that the lot of you might want to take a few moments to, I don’t know, *talk* to each other?
Rhani: Are you actually going to be able to assume your duties, Lieutenant? Or do you need more time before shepherding this beastie around the stars?
Rosek: ::nods:: Yes, ma'am. It's just difficult to stand for long periods.
Rhani: Fair enough. Well, if you want to go harass sickbay, go right ahead. And I believe Mr. Skyfire is heading that way as well.
Alexander: ::grins:: Yes, ma'am. I figured he might be.
::Dassa caught the PADD that was tossed in her direction, arching an eyebrow.::
Rhani: Personally, I’m going to go see if the folks on the bridge have found something else to break.
Rosek: ::grins:: Well, the upside of having an HCO who doubles as an Engineer. I can fix anything.
Rhani: Response
Rosek: ::chuckles:: It wouldn't be the first time and I doubt it will be the last.
Rhani: Response
Rosek: ::grins:: I'll report in with Sickbay. I'll need to report in with security as well, I assume, to get my codes and authorization?
Rhani: Response
Rosek: ::nods:: Yes, ma'am.
