There are two types of rail lines. The normal route lines, and the VEL(Vakuo Esprim Linioj). VEL line's are underground, the the tracks between the two stations are sealed off releasing all the air out of the line so that there is no wind resistance, making the trains operate faster. These VEL's have only been implemented on Kalmania express routes, as well as to Juta, and Loreto. There has also been a VEL that has been implented from Loreto to Grajno.

unlike the normal lines VEL's can only have a maximum of 8 lines in a tube, all tracks are constantly occupied, and takes roughly 10 minutes to get all trains on a line, ready to vacuum the  section. The train stations are never vacuumed, only the line that connects the two cities.

The upside of VEL's is that they can travel to a top speed of 2,250 km/h (1,398mph) where as normal lines trains can travel up to 1,080 km/h (671mph).
