History
In the 2250s a member of the royal family developed a way to recrystallize dilithium, resulting in the Xaheans developing warp travel.[4]
Government
The Xahean government is made up of the Xahean Council and the royal family.[5]
Description
The Xaheans are a humanoid species with sharp teeth and dark hands ending in clawed fingers. These claws are more pronounced in females then males. Their faces have line-like patterns which might be blue or slightly raised.[6]
Physiology
While humanoid in appearance Xaheans have numerous differences that distinguish them from other humanoid species.
One of the more major differences is their development. Xaheans go through a larval stage, at the age of seventeen they reach their post-larval quiescent-stage[7] (Earth insects go through this as well in the form of a pupa). Xaheans are able to camouflage themselves in a similar manner to the Tosk and the Jem'Hadar.[8]
