An ophidian is a snake-like creature utilized by the Devidians to generate temporal vortices. In one instance, this was used to travel to 19th century Earth, where Devidians harvested Terran neural energy for sustenance.

The ophidian functions by creating minute distortions in the spacetime continuum, which the Devidians focus into a vortex using massive amounts of triolic waves.
