Dominion

Description

The Dominion is a huge alliance of 100's of species. Sometimes considered more like Trading Consortium because the Dominion is a very loose alliance held together by the power and mite of the Founders. The Federation first came in contact with the Dominion a little after Starfleet discovered the Bajoran Wormhole.

The Founders themselves are shapeshifters. They can change there form into whatever they want. But they must return to their liquard form every 17 hours.

The Dominion political structure is pretty simple. The Founders rule all. The Founders found that after a couple of years of expansion that is was to costly to have there species fighting their wars, so they created the Jem'Hadar and the Vorta.

The Jem'Hadar were genitcally altered and controlled by the Vorta. The Founders made it so that the Jem'Hadar were genitcally addicted to a drug and without drug they would die. This made the Jem'Hadar do whatever the Founders or Vorta say.

After contact with the Alpha Quardant it was decided by the Dominion to launch a invasion of the quadrant. The Dominions allied themselves with the Cardassians and started a quadrant wide war. The war killed millions. After the war the Dominion were pused back in to the Gamma Quadrant.
