Family
Salak has a typical Vulcan family although the nature of their environments have impacted each persons personality. Vorak is a traditionalist, whilst T'Plar is a more caring, typically motherly figure who does suppress her emotions but not to the extent that most Vulcans would. T'Pel is yet to really grasp logic and has little control over emotions, partially due to an upbrining on Andor away from any Vulcans with the exception of her family.

Medical History
Very little of Salak's medical records before his enrolement in Starfleet are available, and he is not forthcoming with specifics. It is not on record whether Salak had gone through the Pon Farr before the academy, or suffered any illness in his youth on Andoria.
His medical history during his time in Starfleet are well documented however, but is so far a fairly quiet file. Salak is not a regular visitor to sickbay and has a history of needing to be chased to attend Physicals. He rarely visits in cases of minor injury, citing reasons of logic.

Quarters
- Main Article: Salaks' Quarters (DS17)
Little used during Salak's initial time at Deep Space 17 and the USS Wallace, Salak was forced to use his quarters on DS17 after the events of mid-2382. More spacious than his quarters on the Wallace, the room is more airy and spartan; with minimal decoration. The lighting is similar to that of his quarters on the Wallace.

Deck 3, Section 29, Compartment 21. Salak's Quarters were reasonably small but comfortable. Salak kept his work on a desk close to the door, whilst he kept a meditation lamp on a shelf near by. There was a small table in the middle of the main room upon which he placed the lamp during meditation. The lighting was dark, with tints of purple.
Chief Engineers Office

Salak had an office on Deck 8 which consisted of little more than an Alcove in Engineering. The office contained multiple computer access terminals along with a desk which was frequently cluttered with PADD's.
Subordinates
As Chief Engineer of the USS Wallace, Salak was the Senior Officer for the Engineering department of the vessel and thus members of the department were his sub-ordinates. Due to the nature of the vessel, the Engineering department was usually divided into Teams, a system Salak would later use on other vessels.
Salak's Assistant Chief on Wallace was Ensign McLoughlin.
Guilds & Duty Post Groups
Salak is a member of the Guild of Vulcans, the Readers Guild and the Starfleet Corps of Engineers, Starbase 118 Division
