Commissioned & Launched
First launched in 2379 under the command of Captain Jordan Hurne; the USS Victory takes its name from a long line of ships that have bore the same name from the early days of sail in Earth history. It is a name that is spoken with pride.
The Intrepid Class starship marks a change in course for Starfleet away from building very large, elaborate starships and toward building smaller, more efficient vessels. One of a series of newer and more compact ships, the Intrepid-class was designed to be a fast multi-mission starship primarily intended for exploration, survey, and courier missions. A fast vessel with advanced sensing and research capability, the Intrepid class makes for an effective exploratory platform, while at the same time carrying sufficient armament to act as an interdiction and combat vessel.
Era of Robin Phoenix
The USS Victory has had a long, and prestegious list of commanding officers. When Captain Hurne took a leave of absence in 2381, Commander Megan Elise Parker took stewardship of the vessel until Captain Hurne returned. Eventually, Commander Parker departed to the USS Aurora as Captain and Captain Hurne resigned in late 2382. the Victory then passed to an officer that had risen up from the rank of Ensign on her decks, a Captain Robin Phonix, who assumed command in 2383. After two more years in active service, the USS Victory was put into drydock for a major refit.
Tenure of Captain Jaxx
On stardate 238710.02 Andrus Jaxx was Promoted to full Commander and assumed Command of the Victory. However, as his command was soon expanded to that of Starbase 118 Operations, the Victory was re-assigned as a support vessel for the starbase that serves as command center for UFOP interests in this region.
Under New Management
After remaining a support ship under the auspices of the Starbase 118 and surviving not only the hazardous missions it underwent, but also severe damage by the Klingons in the Klingon Invasion, the USS Victory was finally able to be free from starbase duty when Commander Nugra took command in 2391. A Gorn who served upon her decks when Captain Hurne was in command, the Victory sets out to create a new chapter in it's long legacy.
